Love is a commitment, not a feeling.

You can't truly love someone without choosing to show them the love of God when the "lust" has left. This is why so many marriages and relationships fail, because when the person no longer "lusts" after their mate then they believe that the love has left and they have a right to leave or demand change in their mate. Love is a choice of actions based on the Word of God during the interim when the lust has taken a vacation. Are you showing your spouse, children and strangers the love of God today? It is filled with choices of kindness, patience, goodness, self control, not envious or jealous. This love will NOT fail you, but you can't show this without being connected to the true source of love, knowing God!
